How can I get the most from my Recruitment Agency?
Communication is key, use your consultant as your advisor. Be clear about what you are looking for and be realistic about the salary you will need to allocate. The market determines the salary (also dependent on location and duration of the job).
How much does it cost per placement?
The fees depend on the position and duration of the placement. For a full fee structure, please contact LocumCo on 1800 357 001 or email email@example.com.
When is the placement fee due?
LocumCo will invoice on the day the candidate commences employment. The fee is payable 14 days after the invoice date and there is a 12 week guarantee period for permanent placements.
Who pays the candidates salary?
You pay the candidate directly. LocumCo will invoice you separately for their service.
What if the person is not working out?
If the position is permanent, as long as you pay your invoice within 14 days you would be covered by our placement guarantee.
If you are dissatisfied with a locum candidate please notify LocumCo within 48 hours of commencement and we will replace the locum immediately.

Does LocumCo only recruit pharmacists?
LocumCo specialises in Pharmacists (from Newly Registered through to Managers/Partners) in Community, Hospital and Industry roles; Locum Pharmacists; Retail Managers; Health Hero’s, Stock Controllers, Dispensary Technicians, Alternative Therapies and Vitamins specialists, Cosmeticians and general pharmacy retail staff.
What do I need to do to start the recruitment process for a vacancy?
Call LocumCo on 1800 357 001 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take you through a very simple process identifying your specific needs to fill the vacancy. If you prefer to complete this process online you can visit our ‘List a Job’ page and fill out the form online. It’s an easy, straight forward process.
How does LocumCo advertise my vacancy?
We will list your vacancy on our website, Facebook page and twitter account. LocumCo also has it’s own app that sends out targeted SMS messages to potential staff in your area for Locum positions that need to be filled urgently. We have a database of over 9,000 Pharmacists and support staff that check our website on a regular basis and receive our weekly job bulletins. While your vacancy is promoted on all our digital channels we simultaneously conduct a search of our database and LinkedIn connections for suitable candidates. We pride ourself on finding quality candidates quickly and without fuss.
Does it cost anything to register a vacancy?
No, a placement fee is only charged once a candidate has been placed. It is free for you to register your vacancy.
How often do you update the positions advertised on your website, LocumCo app and social media channels?
We update our website on a daily basis and use our app & social media channels effectively to fill urgent locum positions sometimes in a matter of hours.

How do I register for a job or for your weekly job bulletin?
We have a streamlined registration form on our website, just click on our job seekers registration page and follow the prompts. You will also need to provide us with an up to date resume and referee contact details. The registration process only takes a few minutes and once registered you will also receive our weekly job bulletin automatically. The job bulletin is an overview of all the latest job vacancies. Ensure you download our LocumCo app as well. You will receive an SMS if there is an urgent vacancy near you, helping you to respond quickly to snap up a position.
What happens after I apply for a job?
You will receive an auto-generated email reply that confirms your application has been received. The staff at LocumCo then assesses all applications and resumes individually in relation to the role that you have applied for and send you a response. The response will be one of the following:
- Unfortunately due to your skills and experience required for the job you are not a suitable candidate. Please try again for another job
- You are unsuitable for this particular job but we have identified you are a suitable candidate for another job and we would like to discuss this further with you
- We consider you to be a great candidate for the role and we will put you forward to the employer after we conduct a phone interview with you
Do you place interns?
Yes! in fact LocumCo places interns for free at pharmacies, making it extremely attractive for employers to advertise internships through LocumCo.
